Raccoon BBS for Hyperterminal.
it is the link between using basic raccoon terminal window with regular telnet and basic modem software.

a. it does not do anything beyond text and page browsing.

b. it does to downloads.

its usage links the root bbs directory with the external executable.
it acts as a side bbs for allowing connectivity with older systems and standard terminal programs.

Note: Raccoon BBS does not connect to normal terminal programs it acts a terminal dialup server and other raccoon bbs setups can login to it.

Hence the Raccoon bbs is its own terminal.

using the rachyperterm.exe is easy.
first you tell it where your bbs directory is

then save that .

second tell it where users is stored

then save that.

then when you run the RACHyperterm program

set all nodes to answer.

Note: your baud parity ect settings are important.
the people dilaing in will need to know what settings you uses as it can be tailored to your needs.

Raccoons unique feature is that it allows you to build more pages as it and add-on boards are running. so you don't need to disconnect to edit your board. 
in fact multiple users can be logged in while you make changes to your system.
this is done to reduce downtime.
however if a user is on a page you are editing the changes will not be noticable until he/she updates the page.
